One of the rarest of the heirloom varieties and still grown today! Hardy, medium-sized plants yield plenty of small, red, pear-shaped fruits with very few seeds. Perfect for salads, sauces or pickles.

These were smaller and less productive than the yellow variety. Not sure why. I'm beginning to wonder if maybe the red variety is just not as prolific as the yellow variety. Not sure if I want to bother trying to grow these again.

These tomatoes were hard to start unless in higher temperatures initially. The number of fruit was much less than the yellow pear type that I have used previously. The taste was OK but I would recommend the yellow variety over this one.
