A charming heirloom that is crisp, mild and even a little sweet. Cream colored, 2 to 4" roots slice open to mimic a tiny watermelon with green "rind" framing brilliant pink flesh. Prominent tops make them easy to pick even when small which is when they tend to be the most colorful. Add one-of-a-kind flair to garnishes, salads, appetizers, stews, stir-fries and more in a snap. Roots hold well without turning woody.
