Pepper, Kaptur Hybrid
#T02858
82 days. Large, uniformly shaped, kapia-type fruits are firm, approx. 7½" long by 2½" wide, ripen from green to a rich, deep red and have an excellent quality. Horn-shaped, 2 to 3-lobed fruits weigh up to 7 oz., have thick, meaty walls, are very crunchy and have a light, sweet flavor similar to a bell pepper. Stores well without losing quality or flavor. A versatile type that originated from Turkey where it was used for paprika production. Strong, vigorous plants provide good leaf coverage to protect fruits against sunscald. An excellent choice for home gardeners and farmers markets. Ideal for container gardening. Highly resistant to Tobamovirus. High yielding.
