42 days. 2025 AAS Winner! Flattened-round, 4 to 5", white fleshed bulbs are uniform, crisp, nearly fiberless and have a sweet flavor with peppery undertones. Bulbs are an attractive, vibrant purple that extends to the stems and veins of the leaves creating a very ornamental plant. Leaves are highly flavorful roasted, sautéed or used raw when young and tender. Skins are smoother than comparable varieties and make for easier cleaning. Whether grown in the spring or fall, it produces flavorful, crack-resistant bulbs. Upright stems are flexible and nice for bunching. Keeps well. Great for containers. Plants grow to 12 to 16" tall. Highly resistant to Fusarium with intermediate resistance to Black Rot.
