Terrible - Never Again
Jan 11, 2025  |  By J. Crossman
This is the worst tomato I have ever grown. It's not black but a dark green. They look nice but once cut open the inside is almost rotten & very mushy. I will never grow these again, it's a waste of time & money.

This is the Best Tomato Ever
Feb 4, 2025  |  By Kaity
I sell and grow tomatoes every summer, and this is MY FAVORITE tomato. I don't know what the other person who wrote a bad review was doing when he was growing his tomatoes, but he is wrong. I sell about 50 kinds of tomatoes every year, and am always trying something new, but I always come back to this tomato, because it is delicious and a best seller. I make sandwiches, sauce, salads, you name it, with this delicious tomato.

Chef's Choice Black
Nov 15, 2025  |  By Paul Tandberg
It would not go well between my wife and I if I did not plant this tomato. It is her absolute favorite. Fortunately, for my domestic happiness, I love this tomato, too. It has that classic smooth, creamy taste that characterizes the best of the dark heirlooms. And it is a solid and dependable producer (unlike those wonderful hit or miss dark heirlooms that love to crack and split and let the bugs in). Chef's Choice Black is my go to dark tomato.
