Decent Beefsteak
Dec 10, 2025  |  By John
I have always loved growing big beef, so I decided to grow the plus version this year. the plants were not as vigorous as the original big beef, and the fruits were not as large. also, i had some trouble with pollination, even though I hand pollinate, and i even had trouble in ideal temperatures. the original always set fruit in even hotter temps. the fruits did taste very similar to the original, but i think that the original still has the edge. big beef plus is an alright tomato, but the original beats it out in every category. definitely going to go back to growing the original big beef.
