2014 AAS Winner. If you like versatility, this pepper is for you! It looks like a pretty red Marconi pepper, but has the heat of a cayenne with a Scoville rating between 30,000 and 50,000 hot, but not too hot! The 6 to 7 inch elongated fruits are picked when red and are excellent fresh, roasted or dried for use as an herb. They can be used to make a beautiful ristra of dried peppers for displaying through the winter months. In southern and mountain AAS trial gardens, this variety produced an exceptionally high yield of uniform peppers and was very easy to grow. Has TMV tolerance. Bushy plants grow 24 inches tall with first fruits ready to pick about 80 days from transplanting.
