(VFFN TSWV)-From the famous horticultural centers of Fletcher, NC, Compact plants are very productive, with heavy yields of firm, bright red, 10 to 12 ounce fruits that range from globe-shaped to deep oblate. A no-fuss variety with superb disease resistance, particularly to Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus and Nematodes.

I live in an area where Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus is a little bit of a problem...possibly because there are two crops/year of commercial tomatoes grown here. The most common types grown are Bella Rosa and Fletcher. I've grown both and the Fletcher is very productive. I harvest mine when they are mostly orange and the taste is no better than a 'grocery store' tomato, but if they are left to get 'dead ripe' the flavor and juiciness is unsurpassed! I gave away a large number of the tomatoes after I let them sit and get dead ripe and the comments I received were..."one of the best tasting tomatoes ever'. I've ordered and received more seeds again this year.

Good tomato for roadside sales. Not too big not too small. Taste could be better and a little firm for my likes but for roadside, appearance is #1 and this tomato fits that bill.
