00508 - New Hampshire Pickling Tomato Solanum lycopersicum New Hampshire Pickling
The result of a cross breeding at the University of New Hampshire in the late 1950's / early 1960's in search of a pickling variety with fruits that matured at the same time to reduce the cost of production. Thick-walled, 1/2 ounce pear shaped fruits are very flavorful, with an almost smoky taste that grow 1 1/2 to 2 inches long and have excellent crack resistance. Perfect for making pickles or fresh eating. Plants are semi-potato leaved and very vigorous. Determinate.
